Late January air stiffens the forest trees whose leafy guise of green lichen hides the barren sticks below….Birches on the green grazing hill announce Spring with their clouds of purple buds, As do the crows with each newly started nest. But it snowed days before and will snow days later. What Spring?”

Beached whale stuck in the forest. This post is full of statues and this one by Adrian Villa Roja might just be my favorite of the bunch. Beautiful, sad, and a little creepy.
